Anne Reece was appointed as Accompanist of the Bury Bach Choir in September 2021, continuing her successful and varied career in music. Anne grew up in Coventry, read music at Jesus College, Cambridge where she was awarded an Instrumental Exhibition at the piano whilst taking the LRAM diploma at the Royal Academy, and has since had a long career in both music education and performing. Her teaching posts have included Head of Keyboard and Vocal Teaching at Redbridge Music Service in East London, Head of Instrumental Music at Surbiton High School and Assistant Director of Music at Gresham’s School in Holt, North Norfolk.
Anne is a highly experienced accompanist, having worked in and around London for many years as a freelance pianist. She particularly enjoys working with choirs and is also the accompanist for the Ely Consort. She is currently teaching part-time at The Leys School, Cambridge and in her own private piano teaching practice in Feltwell, Norfolk.
